que los valores obtenidos para las réplicas
de estas dos especies son muy similares. Por
el contrario, como es posible observar en la
tabla 1, los valores promedio determinados
para cada una de las especies de caracoles son
visiblemente diferentes entre sí, por lo cual
no se formó ningún otro grupo homogéneo.
Según los resultados obtenidos, C. brevifrons
es la especie que posee el mayor potencial
energético debido a su alto porcentaje
de lípidos. De igual modo C. pomum
también presentó valores elevados de este
parámetro, mientras que las demás especies
exhibieron un contenido moderado de
lípidos, esto puede atribuirse a que ambos
son organismos pertenecientes a la misma
familia (Muricidae), el resto, son de familias
diferentes. Cabe indicar que estos resultados
son muy superiores a los obtenidos para las
mismas especies en la localidad de Punta
Arenas (estado Sucre) entre el año 2005
y 2006, en los cuales el mayor porcentaje
de lípidos para C. brevifrons fue de 1,85 %
en época de lluvia, y para C. pomum 1, 64
% en época de sequía (18). Sin embargo, se
han reportado niveles bajos de lípidos para
moluscos marinos, sobre todo bivalvos,
tal es el caso de Stramonita chocolate
(familia Muricidae) para el que se obtuvo un
promedio de 0,31 % de contenido lipidico en
un estudio realizado en la costa peruana (24).
Por su parte, S. gigas obtuvo un contenido
de lípidos inferior al reportado para la misma
especie en la localidad de Punta Arenas (2,75
%) (25).
De manera general, se puede atribuir las
elevadas concentraciones lipídicas en todas
las especies estudiadas, al hecho de que
fueron colectadas durante una época en la
cual la disponibilidad de alimento es elevada,
pues la zona de donde provienen cuenta
con abundante vegetación, fitoplancton,
microalgas, algas, zooplancton, entre otros
(19), además, está la evidencia de que los
invertebrados marinos almacenan depósitos
de lípidos para la reproducción o en respuesta
a factores físicos externos (25).
2. Determinación de proteínas totales
Los resultados obtenidos se muestran en
la Tabla 2, expresados en concentración
mg/g de proteínas totales, donde se puede
observar que el contenido de proteínas en
la mayoría de las especies presentó valores
relativamente similares, siendo C. brevifrons
la especie con la mayor concentración
proteica, presentando 26,61 mg/g, y F. tulipa
la que obtuvo los menores resultados, con
un promedio de 21,24 mg/g, destacando
que la especie C. pomum presentó similar
concentración total de proteínas que ésta.
A estos resultados se les fue aplicado el
respectivo análisis de varianza, en el cual se
observaron diferencias significativas (p<0,05)
en el contenido proteico para las diferentes
especies, evidenciándose esta situación con
la aplicación de la prueba a posteriori LSD,
la cual indicó la formación de dos grupos
homogéneos conformados por las especies
C. pomum y F. tulipa, y C. pomum y S. gigas,
respectivamente, entre las cuales es posible
observar semejanzas en los valores de las
réplicas para cada par.
Para las especies C. pomum y C. brevifrons,
las concentraciones determinadas fueron
menores a las reportadas para las mismas
en un estudio previo, en el cual el contenido
proteico para C. pomum osciló entre 75,57 y
89,21 mg/g, mientras que en C. brevifrons la
concentración de proteínas estuvo entre 39,41
y 49,62 mg/g (20), esto puede atribuirse a que
los organismos fueron extraídos de hábitats
diferentes, y por lo tanto la disponibilidad
de alimentos es distinta, también es un
factor influyente la época en la cual fueron
recolectadas las muestras. Los resultados
obtenidos para todas las especies, resultaron
similares a los determinados para el molusco
bivalvo Argopecten purpuratus (ostión), el
cual presentó 3,5 % de proteínas, siendo la
especie de menor contenido proteico entre
las estudiadas en esa investigación (26).
