de 7 meses, y el 48% (100) a los 6 meses,
como puede notarse un total de 128 niños
comenzaron en el rango establecido a consumir
alimentos complementarios a la leche materna
para sasfacer los requerimientos nutricionales,
sin embargo respecto al conocimiento de la
conformación del plato saludable, se observó
que solo un 39% de madres ene conocimientos
sobre la signicación de plato saludable y son
ingeridos por sus hijos, en los que se ulizan
ingredientes como cereales, proteínas, frutas
y vegetales, mientras que existe un 20% que
desconoce la conformación del plato saludable y
en gran medida consumen alimentos “chatarra”,
lo que atenta contra el consumo de nutrientes
fundamentales para el crecimiento de los niños.
DISCUSIÓN DE LOS RESULTADOS
Al analizar los resultados obtenidos a parr
de la aplicación de la encuesta, se corroboran
los planeamientos teóricos consultados (11),
que establecen la relación entre parámetros
afectados durante el embarazo y el nacimiento y
salud del niño, en el presente estudio se idencó
un porcentaje considerable de los niños que
presentan décit nutricional son hijos de madres
en edad adolescente, las que no cuentan con
una correcta información sobre la alimentación
durante su gestación, lo que ha repercudo
en el poco peso durante el embarazo, que los
partos hayan sido prematuros y durante la etapa
de crecimiento de sus niños no ha ulizada una
alimentación correcta, administrando leche de
fórmula durante los 6 primeros meses o una
leche materna con poca calidad nutricional,
y al iniciar la alimentación complementaria,
los platos a servirle a los menores son poco
nutricionales porque desconocen la composición
de una receta saludable.
Se considera que el inicio temprano de la
alimentación complementaria, es decir, antes
de los 6 meses de edad, puede aumentar el
riesgo de problemas de salud, como alergias
alimentarias y trastornos gastrointesnales,
debido a la inmadurez del sistema digesvo del
lactante.
Durante el inicio de la ablactación, el bajo
consumo de proteínas en la dieta infanl ha
incidido en deciencias nutricionales y problemas
de desarrollo, ya que son fundamentales para el
crecimiento y la reparación de tejidos. Por otro
lado, el consumo de agua no saludable, como
agua contaminada, puede aumentar el riesgo de
enfermedades infecciosas.
La información obtenida que se relaciona con
baja talla con valores por debajo del percenl
< 2 y baja talla severa con valores por debajo
de percenl < 3; medidas con el infantómetro y
tallímetro, además del grado de anemia que se
encontró en los niños basados en los valores de
hemoglobina presentados: <11 mg/dl indican la
presencia de problemas de crecimiento y anemia
leve, entre 7 y 9 mg/dl anemia moderada en la
población infanl estudiada (12).
Los resultados preliminares del presente estudio
sugieren que la prevalencia de anemia en niños
con desnutrición crónica es signicavamente
más alta que en aquellos sin desnutrición
crónica en la misma población. Para respaldar la
hipótesis presentada se ulizaron instrumentos
como hemoglobinómetro con sus respecvas
micro cubetas para medir los niveles de
hemoglobina y vericar grado de anemia que
el niño presente, además de la toma de peso,
el cual fue medido con balanza digital y la talla
tomada con el infantómetro en niños menores
de 2 años y con el tallímetro en niños mayores
de 2 años.
Los niños con desnutrición crónica (13) son
más propensos a desarrollar algún grado de
anemia debido a las complejas interacciones
entre la deciencia de nutrientes esenciales
y la producción insuciente de hemoglobina;
los resultados del análisis muestran una
conexión signicava entre desnutrición
crónica y anemia en la población de San Pedro.
Se aprecia que la mayoría de los niños con
desnutrición crónica presentaban niveles bajos
de hemoglobina, lo que indica la presencia de
anemia en diferentes grados. No es posible
dejar de mencionar la inuencia que enen
los factores socioeconómicos desfavorables
en la problemáca estudiada, pues la falta
de recursos económicos adecuados limita la
capacidad de las familias para proporcionar una
dieta equilibrada y rica en nutrientes a sus hijos,
lo que, a su vez, contribuye al desarrollo de la
