The objective of this study is to revalue the Properties, Plant and Equipment of the Empresa Pública Estratégica Corporación Nacional de Electricidad CNEL EP Unidad de Negocio Santa Elena by applying the International Accounting Standards (IAS) 16 "Property, plant and equipment" and (IAS) 36 "Impairment of Assets" that allows us to reasonably measure the Company's Electric Sub-Transmission Assets. The methodology used is with respect to the implementation of IAS 16 and 36, through the revaluation method, where the values of Property, Plant and Equipment are contrasted with cut-off as of December 31, 2019 under the historical cost valuation model managed by the company versus the revalued cost model. In the results, it was determined that the use of the revaluation model has positive effects on the equity of the company, improving its results and its financial position. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations of the study carried out are described, associated with the benefits of the application of international regulations in public companies in the electricity sector.
