Abstract
The present analysis seeks to understand the characteristics of a leader in order to understand those who manage companies and organizations. In this study, we analyze ideas and concepts from Aristoteles with his definitions of the 5 personality factors through studies from Bono and Judge around personality and perception of leadership, theories and concepts that different authors have tried to explain about the influence of personality on leadership. Finally, the analysis attempts to show how the success or failure of an organization is directly related to the characteristics of the leader who is the center of each organization. In addition, the different possible ways in which the characteristics of these leaders can be measure are described.
