Dimensão ambiental e crescimento econômico dos países do G7

O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar o impacto do meio ambiente natural sobre o crescimento econômico das nações do G7. Utilizou-se uma metodologia quantitativa e explicativa, com dados secundários e aplicação de modelos de regressão em painel. A adequação do modelo de efeitos fixos foi avaliada por meio do teste de Hausman. Os resultados demonstram que fatores como iniciativas de conservação ambiental, acessibilidade à água doce, exportações tecnológicas e emissões exercem uma influência positiva e estatisticamente significativa sobre o PIB. A variável associada aos ambientes marinhos apresentou uma associação marginal. Conclui-se, portanto, que a preservação ambiental e a redução da poluição são componentes essenciais para alcançar um progresso econômico sustentável nas economias desenvolvidas do G7.
