Case report: diabetic foot experiences at the first level of care
Keywords:
diabetes complications, diabetic foot, foot ulcerAbstract
The diabetic foot is a microvascular complication associated with neuropathy. It generates a substantial increase in morbidity and mortality with a significant impact on the patient's quality of life, and it requires multidisciplinary management to avoid significant complications. We show a case of a 10-year-old diabetic patient with altered glucose control who presented a diabetic foot secondary to a burn and who, after several weeks of healing and antibiotic treatment, ended up in a skin graft. Knowing the evolution and management of the diabetic foot is essential for future doctors and nurses, who must obtain the necessary skills for the optimal management of these patients.
