Abstract

Advanced nursing practice in primary health care takes on great meaning, especially in the context of care addressed by this research, whose main objective is to describe advanced nursing practice in primary health care. This model, oriented towards innovation, aims to optimize the quality of services through the development of skills and strengthening the role of nurses in the community setting. In addition, it encourages professional independence, giving them greater responsibilities in prevention, diagnosis, disease management and health promotion. Methodology: To develop this research, a qualitative approach was used; interviews were conducted with six nursing professionals, in order to understand the impact of advanced practice on the service offered and on the health outcome. Results: The findings showed that the professional and cultural commitment of nurses improves the quality of care, fostering community trust and strengthening the nurse-patient relationship. Likewise, a positive organizational climate, with adequate workload distribution and effective leadership, was highlighted as a fundamental factor to ensure quality care. Conclusion: Advanced nursing practice in primary care reinforces health systems, optimizes the quality of care, promotes prevention, comprehensive management of chronic diseases and promotion of health in vulnerable communities, supporting the sustainable development of medical care.
