Abstract

Abstract: The dark triad of personality is an area little researched in psychology in the adolescent population. From this, it can be seen immersed in social problems such as cyber bullying. Based on this, the objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the dark triad of personality and cyberbullying in adolescents from a public Educational Unit in the province of Loja, Ecuador. A non-experimental quantitative study with a descriptive correlational scope was carried out. For this, a sociodemographic survey, cyberbullying questionnaire, cyberbullying victim questionnaire and the dark triad of personality scale were applied. The research included 94 adolescent students. The results show a relationship between the characteristic features of the dark triad of personality and the action, which refers to the behavior that corresponds to cyberbullying. This demonstrates how personality in adolescents influences acts related to bullying through digital media.
