Omega 3 y su relación con la infertilidad femenina

Resumen

La infertilidad femenina se considera un fenómeno complejo, influenciado por varios factores individuales y ambientales, que implican un desafío a nivel global. Se clasifica en primaria, característica de la ausencia de una concepción previa, y secundaria tras lograr un embarazo o concepción anterior exitosa. Factores como la exposición constante a contaminantes y químicos, los estilos de vida actual, y el retraso en los periodos de maternidad, juegan un papel crucial en su prevalencia. Además, se resaltan condiciones patológicas donde se destacan: síndrome de ovario poliquístico, endometriosis, y fibromas uterinos, significativas en este contexto. Organismos mundiales de salud estiman que uno de cada seis parejas enfrenta dificultad para concebir. En este sentido, se investiga el impacto del consumo de la omega 3 en la infertilidad femenina, potenciando la calidad de los ovocitos, reduciendo la inflamación; aunque la evidencia resulta contradictoria, subrayando la necesidad de un enfoque más profundo en las técnicas de reproducción asistida (TRA). Estudios sugieren que la estimulación ovárica, reduce los abortos espontáneos que optimiza las condiciones uterinas para mejorar la calidad de embriones. Integrar suplementos que favorezcan estas condiciones podría resultar fundamental en el manejo de la infertilidad femenina.
