Abstract

Play is a fundamental activity in child development, since it contributes to the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of children. The objective of this research was to explore the incidence of recreational activity on the psychomotor development of children in early education. The method used was the qualitative design of a descriptive, non-experimental, analytical type through a systematic review of the literature with the PRISMA method, using open access databases such as Google Academic, JSOR, SCIELO, REDALYC for the search, obtaining as a result 25 units of analysis, the same ones that showed that recreational activity has a positive impact and in particular, these activities can contribute to the improvement of gross or fine motor skills, spatial perception that focuses on the ability to perceive the relationship between one itself and the environment and visual-motor coordination, which is the ability to coordinate the movements of the eyes and hands, these research results provided solid evidence of the fundamental role that playful activity plays in the psychomotor development of children in early education, in Conclusion, recreational activity significantly benefits gross and fine motor skills, as well as cognitive and social aspects.
