Abstract

This study analyzes the importance of diversity in human talent management, focusing on the impact within organizations in the Bolívar Province, Ecuador. The objective was to examine the factors that influence business development and performance through inclusive policies. To do so, a quantitative descriptive and cross-sectional research was used with 10 participating public institutions. An ad-hoc questionnaire was administered to obtain information and to evaluate inclusion and talent management practices. The results revealed that 80% of the institutions conduct diversity training on a semiannual basis, while 70% of employees perceive that their institution values ​​diversity. In addition, 100% of respondents consider that there is equal opportunity for professional development, and 80% report a significant improvement in productivity due to diversity. Although these results are encouraging, there is a need to deepen the evaluations and address neutral perceptions. It is concluded that effective diversity management is an essential driver for innovation and organizational success, suggesting the importance of continuous monitoring and adaptation of inclusive practices according to specific cultural and organizational realities.
