THE INTERVENTIONS TO PREVENT DRUG CONSUMPTION RELAPSE: SYSTEMIC REVISION

Abstract

This study boards the prevention of problematic drug consumption relapse, the proposed concept by Marlatt, the latest systematic revision was elaborated by Ramada in 2021. Objective: know the applied interventions for substance consumption relapse prevention. Method: The method was PRISMA, the searches were conducted on 10 data bases. The selection criteria were from 2017 to 2023, title and summary with IMRAD method, English open access, PICOS method was used for the Analysis Units analysis, diagrams were used for the synthesis. Results: 9 articles from Scopus and Pubmed were included, the methods had random clinical trials, control group, men and women samples. Four studies applied "mindfulness' ', f our "cognitive- behavioral" techniques, one "drugs". Discussion: One of the articles declares significant differences between the mindfulness group and the control group, however, all studies report qualitative changes in the drug consumption. Conclusion: the mindfulness techniques, cognitive- behavioral therapies, the combinations of drugs and application of mobile devices achieve to develop self-efficacy, depressive symptoms and urges, thus allowing the relapse prevention.
